2005 Porsche 997 Race Car
This 997 was built by Autometrics with the sole purpose of winning races in PCA’s H class. The build on this car was featured in an article we posted a few years ago. With a bit more development, it could also be a good platform for GTB1. Professional commitments have moved the owner away from racing, so this incredibly fast and fresh car is available for immediate sale and inspection at our Charleston, SC facility for SOLD.
The limits of the PCA rulebook were the guideline for the conversion. MCS double-adjustable shocks, monoball bearings, and Tarett sway bars provide balance and support. Forgeline wheels hold the widest tires we could fit under the fenders. A Guard differential and Numeric shifter cables provide excellent feel. The Motec CDL3 dash logger is the perfect complement for setup and driver optimization.
The roll cage is the best you will see in Club Racing. It fits impossibly tight to the car for maximum safety, chassis stiffness and room for the driver. Schroth harnesses hold the driver in the OMP composite seat. The center radiator, transmission cooler, and fuel dry break ensure the durability required for enduros.
