Designed, built and campaigned by Autometrics Motorsports in the 2012-2013 Continental Tire Challenge season and first two races of the 2014 season, this 2008 Porsche Boxster is completely sorted and possesses an on-track history free of major damage. Most importantly, the Boxster has proven dead-reliable with no mechanical DNFs and is incredibly fast with consistent 2:05.8 laps at Daytona International. The Boxster is offered in as-last-raced condition with all modifications and high-end race components in place. These include:
2.7 liter flat six with Fabspeed exhaust and Aasco flywheel
Aluminum PWR center and side radiators
Water-to-oil transmission cooler
Air-to-oil power steering cooler
Heavily upgraded transmission with Guard differential
Fully-integrated rollcage custom built to Autometrics Motorsports design
Porsche OEM Hard top
AST external reservoir double-adjustable shocks front and rear
GT3 control arms
996 Front Brake Calipers w/ PFC rotors
Recaro HANS seat
Schroth endurance harnesses
Suede OMP steering wheel on flip-up hub
Electric on-board AFFF Firesense suppression system
Tarrett Swaybars and endlinks
Single dry-break fueling system with discriminator
Car will be sold on black Fikse wheels with scuffed Continental slicks.
As the Boxster sits in as-last-raced condition the paint bears some sand blasting and scuffs throughout and the rocker on the driver’s side shows a donut with a small dent from minor wheel-to-wheel contact. We have left these in place under the assumption that the next owner will want to update and/or replace the car’s livery to according to their liking. Finally, while the Boxster is absolutely race ready, it will require minor modifications to make it legal for either PCA G or F class. The car is kept at our Charleston, SC facility, is available for inspection by appointment, and is listed for a small fraction of the build cost at just $50,000.
Spares are available at an additional cost.
A complete photo file documenting all aspects of the car is currently being compiled and will be posted shortly.
